Further information

Prior to the second World war, her owner at that time affectionately called her 'The wee plug'. The boat was laid up on the Clyde before the start of WW2. Years later the owners returned to the boat and discovered that they had left a cake tin on board. On opening this tin, the fruit cake inside was still perfectly edible!
Golden Plover has in the past, successfully raced in Old Gaffer regattas around the east coast of England.
